The total number of Group II vacancies is 41.
Group IIA Services: The recruitment includes Senior Inspector, Audit Inspector, Handloom Inspector, Supervisor / Junior Superintendent, Senior Revenue Inspector, Assistant, Accountant, Executive Officer Grade III, Junior Accountant, Male Warden, Assistant Grade III, Lower Division (Counter) Clerk and other posts. Age Calculation Date: 01.07.2026. TNPSC Group 2 & 2A Recruitment 2026 for candidates belonging to SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM) and BCM categories, applicable age concessions and maximum-age conditions are provided separately in the notification. Where the notification states “No maximum age limit”, the candidate should not have completed 60 years of age as on 01.07.2026 or at the time of selection / appointment.

Group II Main Examination: Paper I – Tamil Eligibility Test and Paper II – General Studies. Paper II carries 300 marks.
Group IIA Main Examination: Paper I – Tamil Eligibility Test and Paper II – General Studies and General Intelligence & Reasoning. Paper II carries 300 marks and is conducted as prescribed in the notification.
