📚 Educational Qualification
ITI Electrician: Candidates should have completed a Full-Time ITI course in Electrician Trade from a Government Recognized Institute.
Diploma Electrical: Candidates should have completed a Full-Time 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a Government Recognized Institute.
Diploma Civil: Candidates should have completed a Full-Time 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Government Recognized Institute.
Graduate Electrical: Candidates should possess a Full-Time 4-year B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Graduate Civil: Candidates should possess a Full-Time 4-year B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Civil Engineering.
Important Notes: Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination within two years from the closing date of application, i.e., between 11.09.2024 and 10.09.2026. Candidates awaiting final results, below 18 years of age, those who have already undergone or are undergoing apprenticeship training, and candidates with more than one year of job experience are not eligible. Part-time, correspondence, distance education and online mode qualifications are not eligible.
POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification has been released for ITI Electrician, Diploma Electrical, Diploma Civil, Graduate Electrical and Graduate Civil Apprentice posts. Eligible ITI, Diploma and Engineering Degree candidates can apply online for POWERGRID Apprenticeship 2026. A total of 32 apprenticeship training slots are available in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala under Southern Region-II. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹13,500 to ₹17,500. There is no application fee, written examination or interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and eligibility criteria. Interested candidates should complete NAPS or NATS registration and submit their online application through the official POWERGRID website before 10 September 2026.

- ITI Electrician candidates should first register on the NAPS portal: https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
- Degree and Diploma Engineering candidates should register on the NATS portal: https://nats.education.gov.in/
- Complete and update your profile by uploading all the required documents.
- After receiving the NAPS/NATS Registration or Enrolment Number, visit the official POWERGRID website: https://www.powergrid.in/
- Go to Careers → Engagement of Apprentices → Apply Online.
- Select the relevant Southern Region-II apprenticeship notification and complete the online application form.
- Upload all required educational certificates, mark sheets, photograph, signature, caste certificate and bank details wherever applicable.
- Ensure that your Aadhaar seeded bank account is DBT enabled.
- Submit the application before 10 September 2026.
- Download and save the submitted application details for future reference.
