📚 Educational Qualification

Graduate Apprentice:
Candidates must possess a full-time Degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a Statutory University, an institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the State/Central Government.

Technician (Diploma) Apprentice:
Candidates must possess a full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline granted by a State Council/Board of Technical Education, University, or recognized institution.

Eligible Passing Years: Engineering/Diploma candidates who passed during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and May 2026 and are from Tamil Nadu are eligible.

Important Note: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing NATS/NAPS apprenticeship, or candidates having one year or more experience, are not eligible to apply.

Application Note: Candidates must upload the B.E./B.Tech/Diploma Provisional Certificate or Consolidated Mark Sheet. Percentage of marks must be entered in the NATS portal. If percentage of marks is not furnished, the candidature will not be considered.

CMWSSB Apprentices Recruitment 2026-27 offers 108 apprenticeship training opportunities for Engineering and Diploma holders in Tamil Nadu. The vacancies include Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice positions in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Eligible candidates can apply through the NATS portal for one year apprenticeship training with monthly stipends of Rs.12,300 for Graduate Apprentices and Rs.10,900 for Diploma Apprentices. Candidates should complete NATS registration and apply against the CMWSSB advertised vacancy before the deadline.

• Shortlisting will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification applicable to the respective discipline.
• Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through their registered Email ID.
• Shortlisted candidates must appear for Certificate Verification at CMWSSB, Chennai.

📝 How to Apply?

1. Visit the NATS official portal: https://nats.education.gov.in
2. Students already registered on the NATS portal should log in using their registered Email ID and password.
3. New candidates should click on Student → Student Register and complete the enrollment process.
4. After enrollment, log in to the NATS portal.
5. Go to “Apply against advertised vacancies”.
6. Search for “CHENNAI METROPOLITAN WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE BOARD”.
7. Click on Apply.
8. Make sure the application status shows “Applied”.
9. Upload the B.E./B.Tech/Diploma Provisional Certificate or Consolidated Mark Sheet.
10. Enter the percentage of marks correctly in the “% of marks / CGPAx10” field.
11. Complete the application process before 17.10.2026.
12. Save the application details for future reference.
