📚 Educational Qualification

Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA):
Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Data Entry Operator (DEO) / DEO Grade ‘A’:
Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Special Qualification for Certain DEO Posts:
For DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission and Ministry of Culture, candidates must have passed 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Candidates appearing in the 12th Standard examination can also apply, but they must possess the required educational qualification on or before 07.10.2026.

🔹 Age Limit

Age Calculation Date: 01.08.2026

Eligible Date of Birth: Candidates should have been born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2008.

Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC – 3 years; PwBD – 10 years; PwBD (OBC) – 13 years; PwBD (SC/ST) – 15 years. Other applicable relaxations are available as per Government of India rules.

📍 Selection Process

• Tier-I Computer Based Examination
• Tier-II Computer Based Examination
• Computer Knowledge Test – Qualifying
• Skill Test / Typing Test – Qualifying
• Document Verification and Final Selection based on Tier-II performance and post preference

Tier-I: English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. The examination consists of 100 questions for 200 marks with 0.50 mark negative marking for each wrong answer.

Tier-II: Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test/Typing Test. Section-I and Section-II marks are used for merit, subject to qualifying the Computer Knowledge Test and Skill/Typing Test.

📝 How to Apply? SSC CHSL 2026 Notification Out

1. Visit the official SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in/
2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website if you have not already registered.
3. Login to the SSC portal and select the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026.
4. Fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational and other required details.
5. Upload the required photograph/signature and other documents wherever applicable.
6. Select the required examination centre and other preferences carefully.
7. Pay the applicable application fee through the available online payment methods.
8. Check the application form carefully using the Preview/Print option before final submission.
9. Submit the application before 07.10.2026 at 11:00 PM.
10. Download and save a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
