📚 Educational Qualification
Scientist-D: First Class Master’s Degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Energy & Environment or Biotechnology. Relevant publications/technical reports as prescribed and 7 years relevant experience required.
Scientist-C: First Class Master’s Degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR eligible Engineering/Technology Degree. Relevant publications/technical reports as prescribed and 5 years relevant experience required.
Scientist-B: First Class Master’s Degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR eligible Engineering/Technology Degree with valid GATE score above 90 percentile or NET-JRF qualification and 3 years relevant experience.
Assistant Manager (Finance): First Class Master’s Degree in Commerce with Finance & Accounting/Taxation OR Chartered Accountant OR MBA in Finance & Accounting, along with 8 years relevant post-qualification experience.
Administrative Assistant: First Class Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with working knowledge of computers and minimum 5 years relevant administration experience. Candidates must pass the noting and drafting skill test.
Scientific Assistant: First Class Master’s Degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR eligible Engineering/Technology Degree with valid GATE score above 90 percentile or NET-JRF qualification.
Taxonomist: First Class M.Sc. Candidates with Master’s Degree in Botany or Zoology with minimum 75% marks/equivalent, valid GATE above 90 percentile or NET-JRF and prescribed research/publication criteria are eligible as per notification.
Data Entry Operator: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Science or BCA. Candidates must pass MS Office skill test, English typing speed of 45 WPM and Hindi typing speed of 35 WPM.
Field Assistant: Passed 10+2 in Science with minimum 55% marks and knowledge of water/wastewater sampling and sample preservation.
Important Notes: Only Indian Nationals can apply. The appointments are purely on contract basis initially for one year and may be extended based on requirement and performance. Selected candidates will not have any right to claim regularization in CPCB.
CPCB Recruitment 2026 notification has been released by the Central Pollution Control Board for 51 contract-based vacancies. Eligible candidates can apply online for Scientist-D, Scientist-C, Scientist-B, Assistant Manager Finance, Administrative Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Taxonomist, Data Entry Operator and Field Assistant posts. Candidates with 12th, BCA, Bachelor’s Degree, M.Sc., Engineering, Commerce, CA, MBA and other prescribed qualifications can check post-wise eligibility. CPCB jobs offer monthly consolidated salary ranging from Rs. 38,741 to Rs. 1,71,597. There is no application fee.
