📚 Educational Qualification – IOCL Recruitment 2026

Graduate Engineer – Grade A:
Full-time regular B.Tech./B.E./Equivalent degree in the relevant discipline from an AICTE/UGC recognized institution. General/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates require at least 65% marks, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates require at least 55% marks. Eligible engineering disciplines include Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Computer Science & Information Technology.

Officer (Marketing) – Grade A:
Two-year full-time regular MBA / Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration equivalent to MBA as per AIU, with specialization in Marketing Management. Minimum 60% marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Law Officer – Grade A:
Graduate Degree in any discipline along with Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) OR a 5-year Integrated LLB Degree. The prescribed minimum marks are 60% for General/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. The LLB degree must be recognized by the Bar Council of India. Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification professional experience is required.

Assistant Quality Control Officer – Grade A0:
Master’s Degree in Chemistry or relevant branches including Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry. Minimum 60% marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Minimum 2 years of cumulative post-qualification experience in relevant testing, R&D or quality control areas is required.

Diploma Engineer – Grade E0:
Three-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline. General/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates require at least 65% marks and SC/ST candidates require at least 55% marks. For Safety, candidates must also possess a Diploma in Industrial Safety of not less than one year from a recognized institution/authority.

Important Qualification Notes:
Final degree/marksheet must be available by 30 September 2026. Part-time, correspondence, distance and online qualifications are not eligible. Candidates with disciplines other than those specifically listed in the advertisement may not be eligible. For Diploma Engineer Grade E0, candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as BE, B.Tech, MBA, CA, CS, CMA, MCA or Ph.D. are not eligible.

💰 Salary Details

• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Shortlisting based on CBT performance

• Group Discussion (GD) and Group Task (GT)

• Final Merit List based on composite score

Merit Weightage: CBT – 85%, GD & GT – 5%, Personal Interview – 10%. The minimum composite score requirement is 45% for General/EWS/OBC(NCL), 40% for SC/ST and 30% for PwBD candidates.
