📚 Educational Qualification
Office Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (other than Fine Arts/Performing Arts), Science, Commerce, Business Administration or Computer Applications with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University. Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in office work, data entry, record/report generation and maintenance of files, registers and records in a Public/Private sector or Commercial Organization. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and SAP is desirable.
Draftsman (Mechanical): Three-year Diploma in Mechanical, Marine or Naval Architecture Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education with minimum 60% marks. Minimum 2 years’ experience in design and drafting of Machinery/Hull Machinery Outfit/Pipe Outfit/Accommodation Outfit/Ship systems in a Shipyard or commercial establishment related to design. AutoCAD proficiency is desirable.
Draftsman (Electrical): Three-year Diploma in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics or Instrumentation & Communication Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education with minimum 60% marks. Minimum 2 years’ experience in design and drafting of electrical systems for ships in a Shipyard or commercial establishment. AutoCAD proficiency is desirable.
Technician (Electrician): Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) and All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Electrician. Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience as an Electrician handling substation operation, HT/LT switchgear installation, transformers and maintenance of electrical equipment in a Ship Building Company, Ship Repair Company, Engineering Company or Electricity Generation/Transmission/Distribution Company.
Store Keeper: Either Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management OR minimum three-year Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Marine or Shipbuilding. Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in storekeeping in a Shipyard, Engineering Company, Government Company/Establishment, Semi-Government Company/Establishment or Commercial Establishment.
Important Note: The above posts are temporary in nature and are for a maximum period of five years, subject to project requirements and individual performance. Applicants must possess the prescribed qualifications from recognized institutions/boards. Higher qualifications without the prescribed qualification will not be considered.

Age Relaxation: 3 years relaxation is applicable for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates against posts reserved for OBC. Age relaxation for PwBD and Ex-servicemen will be as per Government of India guidelines. However, the age limit after all relaxations shall not exceed 45 years.
📍 Selection Process – UCSL Recruitment 2026
- Office Assistant & Store Keeper: Phase I Objective Type Offline Test – 70 Questions/70 Marks, followed by Phase II Descriptive Type Test – 30 Marks. Total 100 Marks.
- Draftsman & Technician: Phase I Objective Type Offline Test – 30 Marks, followed by Phase II Practical Test in the relevant trade – 70 Marks. Total 100 Marks.
- Certificate Verification and Medical Fitness
Objective Test: There is no negative marking. For Office Assistant and Store Keeper, the objective test includes General Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General English and Discipline-related questions. For Draftsman and Technician, the objective test includes General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and Trade-related questions.
