📍 Selection Process

The selection process for Indian Navy Agniveer (Apprentice) Recruitment 2026 consists of multiple stages. Candidates must qualify each stage to progress to the next stage of recruitment.

Stage 1 – Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)

  • Computer-Based Online Examination (CBT).
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 60 Minutes
  • Question Type: Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Language: English & Hindi.
  • Sections:
    • English & General Awareness
    • Science
    • Mathematics
    • Diploma (Trade Specific)
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Candidates must secure qualifying marks in each section and overall aggregate.

Stage 2 – Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates shortlisted based on INET marks will be called for the Physical Fitness Test.

Stage 4 – Recruitment Medical Examination

  • Candidates qualifying the Stage-II Written Examination will undergo Medical Examination.
  • Medical standards will be assessed by authorized Military Doctors.
  • Minimum Height Required: 157 cm.
  • Vision Standard:
    • Uncorrected Vision: 6/12, 6/12
    • Corrected Vision: 6/6, 6/6
    • Colour Perception: CP PASS
  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit for Naval Service.

Stage 5 – State Wise Merit List

  • Merit List will be prepared based on Stage-II Written Examination performance.
  • Candidates must also qualify the Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination.
  • Merit will be prepared on a State-wise basis.
  • The cut-off marks may vary from state to state depending on vacancies.

Stage 6 – Pre-Enrolment Medical Examination

  • Provisionally selected candidates will undergo Pre-Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka, Odisha.
  • Final enrolment will be subject to qualifying the Pre-Enrolment Medical Standards.
  • Candidates found medically unfit during this stage will be rejected.
